Matt Weinstock is a writer and researcher based in Brooklyn. His essays, interviews, and fiction have appeared in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, The Brooklyn Rail, and BOMB.

His writing has been supported by prizes from the Library of Congress, the Grolier Club, and the St. Louis Literary Award program. He is at work on a book about gay puppeteers and completed a 2025 research residency at the Institut International de la Marionnette in Charleville-Mézières, France.
