Matt Weinstock is a writer and researcher based in Brooklyn. His essays, interviews, and fiction have appeared in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, The Brooklyn Rail, and BOMB.
His writing has been supported by prizes from the Library of Congress, the Grolier Club, and the St. Louis Literary Award program. In 2025, he completed a research residency at the Institut International de la Marionnette in Charleville-Mézières, France.
Matt received his MFA from Washington University in St. Louis and his BA from Brown University. He is the lead researcher for Pulitzer Prize–winning historian Tom Reiss' next book, which is forthcoming from Crown. He has extensive experience copyediting, fact-checking, working with archives, and unsnarling complex rights issues.
